Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corp. is seeking an Operations Engineer Staff to drive producibility, quality, and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle. You will apply a broad set of engineering disciplines to enhance manufacturability and reliability.

Responsibilities include failure analysis, process optimization, and leading Lean Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency, with collaboration across supplier quality and QA teams to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of five years of experience in operations, project management, process improvement, industrial engineering, quality, or a related function.
• Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, DMAIC, PDCA, root-cause analysis, and value-stream mapping.
• Demonstrated ability to develop project plans, manage risks, coordinate resources, and deliver measurable results.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions to improve product reliability.
• Apply industrial and manufacturing engineering techniques to optimize processes, equipment, and tooling.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives that reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Coordinate with supplier quality and quality‑assurance teams to ensure compliance and high‑quality standards.
• Support test and validation activities to verify product performance and manufacturability.
