Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Operations Engineer Senior Staff to lead end‑to‑end improvement initiatives, applying Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to boost safety, quality, delivery, cost and customer satisfaction.

You will build charters, manage plans and budgets, run Kaizen events, develop dashboards and KPIs, and collaborate across functions to sustain change while ensuring readiness and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in operations, project management, process improvement, industrial engineering, quality, or a related function.
• Experience leading cross‑functional projects or process‑improvement initiatives.
• Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, DMAIC, PDCA, root‑cause analysis, and value‑stream mapping.
• Demonstrated ability to develop project plans, manage risks, coordinate resources, and deliver measurable results.
• Experience analyzing operational data and translating findings into practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Kaizen events, value‑stream mapping, root‑cause analysis, and process‑mapping workshops to uncover improvement opportunities.
• Analyze operational and financial data to detect trends, variation, capacity constraints, and waste; develop dashboards and KPI reports.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and stakeholder communications while validating savings and productivity gains with Finance.
• Establish baseline performance, set measurable targets, and define key performance indicators for each initiative.
• Collaborate with operational leaders, frontline staff, engineering, quality, supply chain, IT, HR, and other functions to support stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and readiness assessments.
