Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement processes, layouts, and production sequences for assemblies and fabrication. You will drive automation, use SAP/dPLM, and analyze data to improve efficiency, cost, and quality across multiple programs.

The role supports both Assembly and Fabrication with emphasis on operational excellence, safety training, and cross-functional collaboration in a highly dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering discipline with at least 15 years of related experience.
• Prior experience supporting Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control programs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• 20+ years of fabrication manufacturing processes (welding, sheet metal, CNC).
• LSS Black Belt certification or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Interfacing with design, manufacturing, test, quality, and other stakeholders as products move from planning to release.
• Using SAP, dPLM, and other tools to analyze and develop sequences of operations and work instructions.
• Assisting in identification, procurement, and implementation of equipment, machinery, and tools.
• Applying lean six sigma concepts to maximize facility utilization and workflow efficiency.
• Using 2D/3D modeling tools to plan manufacturing cells and layouts.
• Analyzing data to improve productivity, inventory accuracy, and first-pass quality.
• Investigating issues, gathering data, and presenting corrective actions and solutions.
• Assisting in hazard prevention measures including training for production operations safety.
