Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse within the Physician Group to deliver high-quality nursing care to acutely ill patients. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while coordinating with physicians, therapists, and family members.

Responsibilities include medication administration, patient education, and pain management with emphasis on safety and adherence to ANA standards.

Qualifications

• Current experience (within past five years) or new nursing graduate (within past two years).
• State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment.
• CPR - Basic Life Support.
• BSN preferred; One year experience in pertinent clinical specialty; Proficiency in second language.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care using evidence-based practice to optimize safety.
• Follows medication rights and administers meds based on patient age and condition.
• Assesses and integrates patient data to plan and adjust care.
• Involves patient and family in the plan of care and education.
• Participates in quality improvement and shared governance.
• Supports discharge planning and teaching for continuity of care.
