Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Staff Nurse in the Physician Group to deliver comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill patients in a fast-paced environment. You will conduct assessments, coordinate care, and participate in education for patients and families.

The role emphasizes adherence to nursing standards, safety, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities for professional development and collaboration across teams. On-site position at our Wheaton, IL facility.

Qualifications

• Current experience (within past five years) or new nursing graduate (within past two years).
• CPR – Basic Life Support required.
• State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process to optimize patient safety.
• Administer medications following the six rights and adjust to patient condition.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and education needs.
• Educate patients and families and involve them in care planning.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and governance.
