Job summary

Skylo is seeking a Staff Network Reliability Engineer, Cloud Operations, to own 24x7 cloud health across Skylo's hybrid production environment, spanning GKE clusters and on-premise Kubernetes. You will define SLOs, drive toil reduction, and lead incident diagnosis with automation and runbooks.

Mentoring Senior NREs and collaborating with NI and Platform Engineering are part of the role. Your leadership will ensure PostgreSQL and Redis reliability, observability stack integrity, and seamless

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of infrastructure engineering or cloud operations in a 24x7 production environment.

Responsibilities

• Own 24x7 cloud infrastructure health across Skylo's hybrid production environment: GKE cluster node status, namespace and pod health, PVC availability, network policies, and multi-cluster federation across Skylo's GCP footprint.
• Lead Cloud Infra troubleshooting bridges: diagnose GKE node failures, storage outages, database failover events, and ArgoCD sync failures — drive to resolution or clear engineering handoff.
• Define and maintain SLOs for all Cloud Infra components; manage error budgets and toil reduction; mentor Senior NREs and collaborate with NI and Platform Engineering.
