Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Staff Engineer II - MuleSoft to design, develop, and support scalable integration solutions across the Digital Asset Platform. You will lead API design and governance, secure APIs, and guide cross-functional teams through design and deployment. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are valued.

The role emphasizes production support, incident management, and creating robust technical documentation to enable reliable, compliant systems.

Qualifications

• 7 years in designing, coding, testing, and documenting MuleSoft APIs with MuleSoft 4.x Anypoint and CloudHub.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial services regulatory and compliance obligations.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and multiple projects with Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning of a project related to technical solution design.
• Design and implement reliability and recovery principles.
• Build APIs using RAML or OpenAPI per enterprise naming and governance.
• Secure APIs using OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML and API Manager policies.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and support production releases.
