Job summary

Spotify is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer within the DISCO Product Area to shape the ML technical strategy for Discovery Mode and related royalty programs. You will partner across engineering, product, data science, and design to create tools that help artists grow their audiences while supporting Spotify’s core business.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, technical leadership, and collaboration with teams across Spotify to deliver scalable ML solutions for creators and fans.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with ML, algorithms, modeling, and experimentation.
• Hands-on experience designing production ML systems at scale.
• Ability to set technical direction for complex ML problems.

Responsibilities

• Help define and drive the ML engineering strategy translating product goals into scalable solutions.
• Design, build, evaluate, ship, and refine production ML systems through hands-on development.
• Provide technical leadership across ML initiatives, balancing near- and long-term priorities.
• Collaborate with research, design, data science, and engineering to build new capabilities for artists and fans.
• Prototype new approaches and turn ideas into reliable, scalable solutions for Spotify for Artists customers.
• Drive experimentation, optimization, testing, and tooling for ML systems.
