Job summary

Spotify is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to shape ML strategy for Discovery Mode and related royalty programs, partnering across engineering, product, data science, research, and design to create tools that help artists grow their audiences.

You will lead production ML systems, collaborate with researchers and engineers to deploy scalable solutions, and mentor teams to improve engineering practices across Spotify.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with ML algorithms, modeling, evaluation and experimentation.
• Hands-on experience building production ML systems at scale using Python/Java/Scala.
• Ability to set technical direction for complex ML problems and deliver outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the ML engineering strategy for Discovery Mode and royalty programs.
• Design, build, evaluate, ship, and refine production ML systems.
• Provide technical leadership across ML initiatives and architectural decisions.
