Job summary

Eight Sleep, Inc. is seeking an experienced Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead new product development from concept to production. You will join a small, mission-driven team with substantial ownership over decisions and the opportunity for rapid career growth in a fast-paced environment.

This role is based in our San Francisco office, requiring 5 days/week on-site. You will architect and drive designs across the development lifecycle, collaborating with industrial design, marketing, and product

Qualifications

• 8+ years of consumer product design experience, including complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing and DFM/DFA principles.
• Ability to travel to China as needed.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools and tolerancing methods (GD&T).
• BSME or equivalent; MS degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design complex electromechanical systems, including plastics, metals, and soft goods with sensors and actuators.
