Job summary

Eight Sleep, Inc. in San Francisco seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to develop products from concept through production. You’ll own critical decisions on electromechanical systems and lead design across the development lifecycle, with opportunities for rapid career growth.

Based in our SF office, you’ll collaborate with hardware, software, reliability, and manufacturing teams, including production ramp in Asia, to deliver high-volume consumer devices that advance our sleep fitness mission.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of consumer product design experience with knowledge of injection molding, sheet metal forming, and sensor/electronics integration.
• Experience shipping high-volume consumer products with manufacturing support in Asia.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, NX, Creo).
• DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, GD&T expertise.
• Root cause analysis and DOE knowledge.
• BSME or equivalent degree.
• Willingness to travel to China as needed.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design complex electromechanical systems for consumer devices.
• Drive designs across the development lifecycle from concept to production.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, reliability, and manufacturing teams.
• Perform analyses (thermal, fluid, structural) to meet product goals.
• Contribute to product direction with design, marketing, and leadership.
