Job summary

Divergent is seeking a Staff Machine Reliability Engineer to lead the resolution of complex reliability challenges across the additive manufacturing fleet. You will drive issues from escalation through root cause, engineering solution, and validated closure, translating learnings into durable improvements.

The role collaborates with Machine Development, Product Support Engineering, Service, Production, and SMEs to shape design requirements, validation strategies, and future capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Mechatronics or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in machine development, reliability engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading complex RCCA investigations and corrective actions.
• Experience across mechanical, electrical, controls, software, manufacturing disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own Reliability Issue Intake, Triage, & Prioritization for fleet issues.
• Coordinate RCCAs for recurring, systemic, and machine-level failures.
• Drive engineering solutions through validation and closure.
• Inform future product design with reliability learnings.
• Provide technical leadership and communicate risks to stakeholders.
