Divergent is seeking a Staff Equipment Reliability Engineer to lead systemic reliability improvements across their additive manufacturing fleet. You will own issue intake, triage, and prioritization, coordinating with Hardware, Automation & Controls, Materials & Processes, MDE, Software, and Supplier Quality.

You will drive engineering solutions through validated closure, ensure proper evidence-based actions, and influence future product design with reliability learnings across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in machine development, reliability engineering, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading complex root cause investigations and corrective actions on electromechanical or automated equipment.
• Experience across mechanical, electrical, controls, software, manufacturing, and/or process engineering disciplines.
• Ability to interpret machine and production data, distinguish correlation from root cause, and translate findings into engineering action.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own Reliability Issue Intake, Triage, & Prioritization across the fleet.
• Engage SMEs across Hardware, Automation & Controls, Materials & Processes, MDE, Software, and Supplier Quality.
• Drive RCCAs for recurring, systemic, and machine-level failures.
• Coordinate with SMEs to develop engineering solutions and drive actions through completion.
• Provide guidance and evidence generation to verify corrective actions.
• Inform future product design with reliability learnings.
