Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to lead and evolve our compute infrastructure, enabling global scale and cost efficiency. You will collaborate with product teams to design and deploy large-scale features, while elevating standards, tooling, and processes across the organization.

You will mentor engineers, drive cross-team initiatives, and tackle complex reliability challenges in a fast-paced, cloud-centric environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent field.
• 15+ years of professional software development or devops automation experience.
• Extensive networking experience and Kubernetes expertise.
• Experience leading cross-team or company-wide projects.
• Strong background in distributed infrastructure services and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, build, and maintain container infrastructure used by Stripe service teams.
• Lead technical conversations and decisions with infra and backend teams.
• Mentor and grow the next generation of technical leaders at Stripe.
• Participate in roadmap planning and prioritisation across compute infra.
• Debug production issues and improve scalability, reliability, and observability.
