Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Technical Lead for the API Platform team in the US. You will lead a group of engineers, drive service-oriented architecture adoption, and collaborate across infra and product orgs to meet Stripe's scalability goals.

You will mentor, set technical direction, and ensure the platforms deliver reliable, high-performance services for thousands of engineers and external customers.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of technical experience in software engineering and architecture.
• 5+ years in a strategic technical leadership role leading engineers.
• Experience designing APIs and developer-facing products.
• Hands-on infra experience delivering products for internal/external users.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and provide mentorship and guidance.
• Partner with managers to craft roadmaps aligning with a clear engineering vision.
• Prioritize work based on user needs and pain points.
• Oversee end-to-end project execution from planning to delivery.
• Support high-visibility initiatives and maintain quality standards.
• Provide architectural leadership and incident response guidance.
