Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 4+ years engineering management experience.
• Experience leading high-complexity engineering teams delivering multiple workstreams.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
• Meaningful recruiting experience, including attracting and developing senior engineering talent.
• Technical depth to guide architecture decisions and maintain product quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering teams or a significant infrastructure area with autonomy and deliver results across parallel workstreams.
• Define strategy and roadmap for your area, anticipate user needs and risks, and communicate plans to leadership.
• Develop senior engineers through coaching, stretch assignments, and candid feedback.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with product, security, data, and support teams.
• Hire and scale the team while maintaining a high hiring bar and building an inclusive, high-performing organization.
• Operate with rigor by setting reliability and scalability standards and improving production processes.
• Collaborate with Staff engineers on architecture decisions involving distributed systems and platform design.
