Job summary

Orb is seeking an experienced infrastructure-focused engineer to own reliability of our platform in a hybrid SF Bay Area setting. You’ll influence event ingestion, API services, alerting, invoicing, and the entire infrastructure powering our products.

You’ll lead resiliency efforts, improve observability, and build scalable, user-facing infrastructure while mentoring teammates and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, scalable features for a rapidly growing customer base.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years in infrastructure or reliability
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Mentor teammates on best practices and reliability

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure resiliency efforts including recovery mechanisms
• Improve observability and operability of systems
• Build real-time, performance-critical infrastructure
• Plan scaling initiatives for large customer growth
• Partner with other engineering teams on reliable features
• Learn from and share expertise with peers
