Orb Inc in San Francisco is building a high-availability infrastructure powering our revenue design platform. You will ensure reliability across event ingestion, API services, alerting, invoicing, and more, collaborating with product and engineering teams.

We're looking for a seasoned engineer who thrives on edge cases, performance tuning, and mentoring others. You will shape scaling plans, improve observability, and ship resilient features in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years in the infrastructure domain
• Ability to mentor and share best practices
• Strong interest in scalable, reliable systems

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure resiliency efforts - recovery mechanisms, tenant isolation, load spike handling
• Improve observability and operability of our systems
• Build performance-critical, user-facing infrastructure (eg. real-time event processing)
• Plan scaling initiatives to handle large customer growth
• Partner with other engineering teams to ensure we build reliable product features
• Learn from a talented peer group, and share your expertise
