Job summary

ModMed is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the IAM platform's vision and architecture. You will evolve core identity services, customize Keycloak, and enable zero-downtime deployments while scaling authentication and authorization across the ecosystem.

You will bridge Java backend work with IAM protocols, cloud-native workflows, and AI-powered engineering practices to boost team productivity and secure millions of users.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering with technical leadership in IAM or core infra.
Deep hands-on Keycloak production experience and Java expertise.
Experience applying AI tools and LLM workflows in software development.

Responsibilities

Define IAM architecture and roadmap using Keycloak as core engine.
Develop custom SPI extensions and high-performance Java services.
Design SCIM integrations and audit/security monitoring integrations.
Lead GitOps and IaC with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, ArgoCD.
Drive security leadership across OAuth2.0, OIDC, SAML, and fine-grained access.
Apply AI tools to accelerate development, tests, and refactoring.
Hands-on delivery with architectural reviews and mentoring.
