AlphaSense is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (Frontend Heavy) to design and deliver scalable, reliable software across frontend and backend. You will shape technical architecture, mentor engineers, and drive engineering excellence in a cross-functional, distributed team.

Expect to lead integration of intelligent features using AI frameworks, improve performance, and guide best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript with full-stack development.
• Expertise in React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
• Backend experience with Node.js, Java, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-quality, scalable software across backend and frontend.
• Own the technical architecture and reliability of backend services alongside frontend microapps.
• Lead design discussions, clarify requirements, and deliver maintainable solutions.
• Own full-stack projects from backend APIs to frontend integration.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across distributed teams.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams and stakeholders.
• Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies.
• Integrate intelligent features leveraging AI frameworks where they add value.
