Job summary

OpenAI is seeking experienced Staff+ and Senior engineers for Monetization Platform to shape pricing, plan configurations, and usage experiences across our product suite. You will own architectural decisions and drive end-to-end delivery in a fast-evolving space.

You will partner with Product, Finance, and Data Science to prototype and scale pricing capabilities, ensuring consistent customer access and state through plan changes and migrations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading backend or distributed system design.
• Deep understanding of APIs and service interfaces.
• Experience with pricing, billing, subscriptions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and build pricing and packaging capabilities across the stack.
• Create plan and usage experiences with product APIs and services.
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, Data Science to prototype ideas.
• Design integrations to preserve access and subscription state.
• Lead architecture decisions and mentor engineers.
• Ensure production quality with migrations, testing, monitoring.
