Job summary

OpenAI, Inc. is seeking experienced Staff+ and Senior engineers for the Monetization Platform within Growth.

You will help define and implement pricing, plan configuration, and entitlement systems across products, balancing customer access with scalable infrastructure. You’ll influence architecture, lead end-to-end delivery, and collaborate with Product, Finance, and Data Science to ship reliable platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-team architecture decisions.
• Strong backend and distributed systems depth.
• Ability to deliver end-to-end from customer interaction to services.
• Experience with pricing, subscriptions, entitlements, or billing integrations is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Define and build shared pricing and packaging capabilities.
• Create intuitive plan and usage experiences across the stack.
• Turn commercial ideas into prototypes with Product, Finance, Data Science.
• Design integrations with Financial Engineering to preserve access and state.
• Build reusable components to launch offerings with fewer dependencies.
• Own production quality through migration, rollout, testing, monitoring.
• Shape the technical roadmap and mentor other engineers.
