Job summary

Sony Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Engineer to drive the design and implementation of the Sony Engagement Platform. You will own both front-end and back-end systems, shaping architecture, delivering scalable RESTful services, and guiding a cross-functional team across product and design groups.

You will collaborate closely with engineers to build robust, maintainable applications and contribute to a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience with medium/large code bases.
• Experience in Full Stack development across front-end and back-end.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python and REST API design.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and develop RESTful API endpoints with performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers to deliver responsive, user-centric web apps.
• Define data models and database schemas for relational or NoSQL systems.
• Create comprehensive documentation for architecture and maintenance.
• Provide task estimates and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.
• Support on-call production issue resolution and ensure uptime.
• Mentor junior engineers to foster learning and collaboration.
• Demonstrate honesty, trust, and ethical conduct in all responsibilities.
