Job summary

Sony Engagement Platform Services (SEPS) is seeking a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to design and build secure, scalable web applications that power fan experiences across Sony’s global ecosystem. You will contribute to both front‑end and back‑end systems, taking a hands‑on leadership role in architecture and implementation.

Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams, you will deliver high‑quality, maintainable solutions while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years professional experience with medium/large code bases.
• Full Stack development experience.
• Experience with REST API design and implementation.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks like React/Angular/Ember/TypeScript.
• UI/UX design principles knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate and build positive team relationships.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and develop RESTful API Endpoints with focus on performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers to build responsive, user-centric web applications.
• Define robust data models and database schemas (relational and NoSQL).
• Create and maintain documentation for architecture, design, and configuration.
• Provide task estimations and contribute to sprint planning.
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain system uptime.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster continuous improvement.
