Job summary

GRAIL is seeking a Staff-level full-stack engineer based in the Bay Area with flexibility for a hybrid schedule. This role will contribute to patient-facing software for the Galleri Test, my.grail.com, and provider.grail.com, using Go, AWS, Kubernetes, microservices, and React.

You will work on a broad set of systems, drive large cross-functional programs, mentor peers, and help shape engineering standards and tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, EE, bioinformatics, or related field.
• 8–12+ years designing, developing, testing, and maintaining full-stack apps and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of Go, Java, Python, JavaScript, React, Spring, REST APIs, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build backend applications and distributed systems for Galleri Test and related portals.
• Lead large cross-functional programs with high complexity and risk.
• Drive improvements to software engineering practices and tooling.
• Provide technical leadership and establish standards within the team.
• Mentor team members and foster innovation and excellence.
