Job summary

Grail is seeking a Staff-level full-stack engineer to build and maintain patient-facing software for The Galleri Test and related systems. The role focuses on robust cloud-based infrastructure, scalable services, and intuitive UI using Go, AWS, Kubernetes, Microservices, and React.

Based in Sunnyvale, CA, with on-site preference and option to work from home under a flexible hybrid policy. Minimum 60% on-site, with core on-site days Tue/Thu to engage in events and activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Bioinformatics, or similar field, or equivalent experience.
• 8–12+ years of full-stack development and microservice experience.
• Strong knowledge of Go, Java, Python, JavaScript, C++.
• Experience with React/Angular on frontend and Spring/Spring Boot on backend.
• Cloud and DevOps experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Build native cloud-based software used by Grail’s Galleri Test and provider systems.
• Lead large cross-functional programs with high complexity and risk.
• Drive software engineering improvements aligned with business needs and trends.
• Provide technical leadership through standards, tools, and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor team members to foster innovation and excellence.
