Tem-Energy is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to join Origination & New Products. This deep, hands-on IC role focuses on integration with Rosso, data, and billing systems, building high-impact backend services in Python/AWS serverless, with React/TypeScript exposure a plus.

You’ll own architecture decisions and help ship new product categories to scale our renewables platform. In the first year, expect to drive architectural decisions, deliver core capabilities, and design risk tooling for new

Qualifications

Deep technical depth in backend and systems design with ownership of architecture decisions.
Comfort with Python, AWS serverless and event-driven architectures; React/TypeScript exposure is a plus.
Ability to operate without a full spec and convert ambiguity into a shippable plan.
Proven delivery experience in startups or fast-paced environments with complex projects.

Responsibilities

Own architecture-level decisions for integration-heavy systems interfacing with Rosso, Data, and Billing.
Ship new product category live and generate qualified pipeline within 6 months.
Tackle tendering automation to enable higher quote volumes for growth.
Productise pricing processes and design deal-gating risk tooling for new categories.
Develop backend-first; contribute to React/TypeScript front-end when needed.
