Job summary

HireHi, a remote-first energy tech company, seeks an experienced Backend/Full-Stack Engineer to own architecture decisions for integration-heavy systems. You will turn ambiguous problems into shippable plans and deliver critical backend components in Python on AWS, with React/TypeScript where needed.

You will collaborate across Rosso, Data, and Billing teams, ship hardest features, mentor engineers, and help launch a new product category while building scalable pricing and risk tooling.

Qualifications

• Deep backend and systems-design expertise for integration-heavy systems.
• Comfortable with Python, AWS serverless, and event-driven architectures.
• Able to turn ambiguous problems into shippable plans without full specs.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture-level decisions for integration-heavy systems and contracts.
• Turn undefined, commercially driven problems into shippable plans under direction.
• Deliver integrations across Rosso, Data, and Billing teams.
• Design, build and ship hard backend components, with React/TypeScript when needed.
• Write clean, well-tested code, perform reviews, and improve practices.
• Help launch the first new product category and generate qualified pipeline in 6 months.
• Assist in automating tendering to expand quoting capacity.
• Productize a manual pricing process to reduce errors.
• Design deal-gating risk tooling for new commercial risk categories.
