Pax8 is seeking a Staff Frontier Engineer to own and operate a critical, hard-to-build system. You will drive technical strategy, push for end-to-end optimization, and mentor other engineers to own complex systems.

This remote-US role emphasizes safety, judgment, and state-of-the-art AI foundations in a fast-growing cloud commerce environment. You will work within Frontier Engineering, collaborating across product and security to ensure scalable, auditable systems.

Qualifications

• Experience owning and operating complex systems.
• Ability to make high-stakes decisions on ambiguous problems.
• Ability to document technical direction for multiple audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own, build, and operate a hard-to-reason system with a technical strategy.
