Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in software architecture and systems design.
• Proven ability to evaluate trade-offs involving scalability, reliability, cost, latency, and maintainability.
• Experience designing platforms and services that support multiple teams and business functions.
• Ability to identify and mitigate systemic risks before they become issues.
• Strong technical communication with architectural documentation and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and evolution of platform services powering multiple teams and products.
• Design resilient, scalable systems with long-term platform strategy.
• Anticipate operational risks and build safeguards to prevent production issues.
• Use data to assess value of engineering investments and adjust direction accordingly.
• Guide migrations and platform modernization with minimal disruption to dependents.
• Produce architectural guidance and reference designs to elevate engineering practices.
• Establish governance standards for reliability, security, and AI across systems.
• Mentor engineers across teams to raise technical judgment and excellence.
• Drive responsible AI-enabled engineering with quality and safety at the forefront.
