Job summary

Snowflake seeks an experienced Staff Software Engineer for the Frontier Security AI team to lead design and development of agentic systems and evaluation platforms. You will work across product, security, and modeling teams to deploy scalable, secure AI workflows and robust testing pipelines.

The role emphasizes high reliability, security, and efficiency while handling enterprise data at scale, with a strong focus on production observability and multi-tenant services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/engineering.
• 9+ years in software eng with leadership of complex production systems.
• Experience shipping and operating LLM applications or agent-backed workflows.
• Strong background in distributed systems, APIs, concurrency and reliability.
• Fluency in Python and at least one language (Java/Go/Rust/TypeScript).

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the Agentic Harness for multi-step AI workflows.
• Design interfaces for tool execution, context, state, memory and retries.
• Own agent quality end-to-end with evaluation harnesses and graders.
• Analyze production agent trajectories to identify failures.
• Develop offline/online measurements for performance and safety.
• Productionize secure, multi-tenant services with operational controls.
• Mentor engineers and lead cross-team technical direction.
