Job summary

Wand Synthesis AI Inc is seeking a highly experienced Staff Engineer to own the frontend direction of the AI Studio platform. You will design and lead the real-time, canvas-based interface that enables humans and AI agents to model and run complex workflows.

You will collaborate with product and design to translate intricate, dynamic workflows into an intuitive experience, build reusable components, and ensure architecture scales across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building modern, complex web apps with a frontend focus.
• Deep React and TypeScript experience.
• Real time experience with WebSockets or server-sent events.
• Canvas or node-based UI experience (e.g., Figma/Miro-style interfaces).
• Strong grasp of modern frontend architecture and component-based development.
• Hands-on backend experience with RESTful APIs and building BFFs.
• Solid HTML, CSS, and frontend fundamentals.
• Experience with state management for complex, dynamic UI.
• Track record of owning architecture at staff level across teams.
• Sharp debugging instincts.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the interface for building agent workflows with real-time live updates via WebSockets and SSE.
• Define and evolve micro-frontend architectures across multiple teams within the AI Studio interface.
• Build the dynamic, state-driven frontend layer that scales with complexity and integrates with the orchestration layer.
• Partner with product and design to turn complex workflows into intuitive user experiences.
• Build reusable components, maintain consistent design patterns, and connect frontend to backend APIs.
• Maintain high code quality through testing and code reviews; optimize load times and responsiveness.
• Ship through CI/CD with confidence and document architecture for reuse by others.
• Set and champion frontend best practices, tooling, and review processes across the company.
