Job summary

Zūm is hiring its first HQ-based front end engineer to lead front end technical direction for Zūm while remaining hands-on as an individual contributor. You will own the front end behind dispatch, school, vendor, and maps portals, collaborating with Product and Engineering teams at HQ in Redwood Shores, CA.

This role requires Senior+ or Staff-level frontend experience, strong Angular and RxJS skills, and a track record of leading distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Senior+ or Staff-level frontend engineer with leadership experience.
• Strong Angular experience and ability to contribute quickly.
• Experience with reactive UI patterns and RxJS.
• Comfort building enterprise, data-dense web apps.
• Experience mentoring engineers, ideally across distributed teams.
• Genuine interest in AI-driven automation and fast iteration.

Responsibilities

• Own front end technical decisions and architecture across the Angular codebase.
• Lead Ukraine-based front end team technically and unblock hard problems.
• Collaborate with PMs and backend to turn direction into shipped front end systems.
• Promote AI tooling usage to accelerate development and quality.
• Set architectural standards for state handling across portals.
