Job summary

Zūm Services, Inc. is seeking a Staff Front End Engineer to lead front end architecture for our Angular-based dispatch, school, vendor, and maps portals. You will mentor a distributed Ukraine-based team while writing production code and shaping technical direction from HQ in Redwood Shores, CA.

You’ll collaborate with PMs and backend engineers to turn product direction into reliable front end systems and will drive AI tooling adoption to speed development. Onsite 3x/week.

Qualifications

• Senior+ or Staff-level front end engineering experience with leadership track record.
• Strong hands-on Angular experience and ability to contribute quickly.
• Experience with reactive UI patterns and RxJS/or equivalent observables.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Own front end architecture and decisions across Angular apps (state, patterns).
• Lead the Ukraine-based front end team technically and unblock hard problems.
• Collaborate with PMs and backend to translate direction into shipped front end systems.
• Drive AI tooling adoption to accelerate development.
• Consolidate front end technical direction under a single owner.
• Set architectural standards for state handling and data density across portals.
• Mentor engineers and align HQ/remote hours for effective collaboration.
• Build trust with PMs and backend leads to maintain speed and quality.
