Job summary

Zūm Services, Inc. HQ in Redwood Shores, CA, seeks a senior frontend leader to own front end direction for dispatch, school, vendor, and maps portals. You will stay hands-on and guide a Ukraine team while collaborating with HQ product and engineering; onsite 3x/week in the Bay Area.

As technical lead, set architecture and patterns across Angular, RxJS, and data-dense apps; mentor engineers, drive delivery, and push AI tooling to accelerate frontend work.

Qualifications

• Senior+ or Staff-level frontend engineering with proven leadership.
• Strong hands-on Angular experience and ability to contribute code.
• Experience with reactive UI patterns using RxJS.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers across distributed teams.
• Comfort building enterprise, data-dense web apps.
• Interest in AI-driven automation and tooling.
• Experience consolidating a tech lead function across multiple people (preferred).
• Startup background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own front end architecture across Angular apps (state management, reactive UI).
• Lead Ukraine-based frontend team while writing production code.
• Collaborate with PMs and backend to ship reliable frontend systems.
• Push AI tooling usage and automate where possible.
• Set standards for frontend patterns across dispatch, school, vendor, maps portals.
• Mentor engineers and align with HQ hours.
