Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to architect, design, and verify embedded electronics for flight-critical systems. You will lead CCA/FPGA hardware development from concept through verification, interfacing with sensors, power systems, and high-speed buses in harsh environments.

The role requires a strong background in mixed-signal electronics, FPGA design, and hardware development for aerospace and defense programs.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years in electronics hardware and ASIC/FPGA development.
• Flight avionics or space hardware experience preferred.
• Experience with mixed-signal design, FPGA timing, and high-speed interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop mixed-signal designs from concept to production.
• Support avionics architecture trade studies and hardware tests.
• Perform de-rating analyses and reliability assessments.
• Define hardware interfaces to software for control and testing.
• Architect and generate ASIC/FPGA RTL code.
• Prepare materials for design reviews and support rocket engine testing.
