Job summary

Ursa Major in Colorado is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to architect, design, and verify embedded hardware for flight-critical aerospace and defense systems, including batteries, power distribution units, GNC components, flight termination systems, and telemetry.

You will lead the development of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and FPGA-based hardware, define verification strategies, and work with cross-functional teams to meet demanding environmental requirements in harsh aerospace

Responsibilities

• Develop mixed-signal designs and shepherd them through the full product life-cycle.
• Support avionics architecture trade studies and hardware test.
• Perform de-rating analysis, worst-case circuit analysis, and reliability analyses.
• Architect and generate ASIC/FPGA RTL code.
• Prepare materials for peer reviews and major design reviews.
• Support rocket engine testing and ground support as necessary.
