Job summary

GEI Consultants seeks a geotechnical professional to perform and document investigations in Golden/Fort Collins, CO. Duties include drilling, field mapping, data collection, and coordinating with subcontractors.

You will create design drawings with AutoCAD, perform calculations in Mathcad and Excel, and support engineers and project managers. Strong attention to detail and communication are essential. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Eligible to become Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
• Proficient in Mathcad, Excel and AutoCAD
• Familiar with geotechnical investigations and field data collection
• Knowledge of geologic hazards, soils and bedrock related to civil projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform and document geotechnical investigations in the field (drilling, data collection)
• Create design drawings using AutoCAD under supervision
• Record project activities and field observations
• Perform geotechnical design calculations using Mathcad and Excel
• Provide support to project engineers and project managers

Education

FE exam eligibility / EIT

Engineering discipline: Civil / Geotechnical / Structural
