Job summary

GEI Consultants is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager/Engineer to support field inspections and contract administration for civil projects at our Marquette, MI office. You will prepare daily inspection reports, assist with cost estimates and schedules, and collaborate with design engineers and project managers.

The role requires 5–10 years of related experience, proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Project/Acrobat, and a willingness to travel to project sites while working in a team-oriented

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of construction, construction quality assurance, or construction management experience.
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical/Geological Engineering is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Project and Acrobat; valid driver’s license; ability to pass safety training.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections at required project sites and prepare status and daily inspection reports.
• Assist with constructability reviews, cost estimates, schedules, equipment evaluation, manpower assessment, and other civil engineering design and construction support functions.
• Support contract administration tasks during construction including quantity calculations, change orders, RFI responses, submittal reviews, and pay estimate processing.
• Assist design engineers and construction managers with data collection, analysis, literature reviews, and spreadsheet development.
• Participate in marketing and business development activities as needed; located in Marquette, MI.
