Job summary

KnowBe4 is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead architecture for its security awareness training platform. You will own end-to-end impact across Rails APIs, GraphQL, Vue 3 front-ends, and AWS infrastructure, directing multi-tenant design and compliant, scalable systems.

You’ll guide cross-team collaboration, deliver high-quality code, and help evolve MFEs while maintaining the current SvelteKit app, with an emphasis on reliable, serverless processing and secure design.

Qualifications

• 5+ years scaling production Rails apps with GraphQL and multi-tenant DB tuning.
• Frontend proficiency with Vue 3, TypeScript; SvelteKit valued; experience with Vite/Tailwind.
• Deep AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, EventBridge, S3) and Terraform.
• Designing event-driven architectures with idempotency and asynchronous processing.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural direction and cross-team influence across services.
• Lead frontend migration path from SvelteKit to Vue 3 and maintain current MFEs.
• Design scalable GraphQL APIs and multi-tenant data models.
• Drive ADRs, architecture reviews, and compliance-aligned design.
