Job summary

Precisely is hiring a Platform Engineer to lead security tooling and enablement within Platform Engineering for our global SaaS environment. This role focuses on building the platforms, automation, and guardrails that help engineering teams adopt security requirements in practical, scalable ways across the software development lifecycle.

You will work at the intersection of Security, Platform Engineering, and development teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in security engineering or platform engineering in production.
• Strong coding/scripting in Go, Python, Bash, or similar.
• Hands-on with security tooling across code, containers, and cloud.
• Familiarity with GitHub Advanced Security, SCA, and dependency tools.
• Understanding of vulnerability and dependency management in pipelines.
• Know-how of Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and IaC concepts.
• Ability to lead initiatives and translate needs into practical solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication with teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead security tooling across application, container, and cloud security.
• Design automation for vulnerability detection and patching workflows.
• Integrate policies into practical controls and guardrails.
• Collaborate with Security and Engineering to enable secure pipelines.
• Improve developer experience by reducing noise and clarifying remediation.
• Drive security initiatives and define execution plans.
• Support health of security tooling and AI-assisted automation where relevant.
• Assist secure adoption of AI tools and build appropriate controls.
