Job summary

KnowBe4 is seeking a Staff Engineer to join our security awareness platform. This full-stack role focuses on Ruby on Rails backends, Vue 3 front-ends, and AWS infrastructure, with architectural ownership across the team.

You will lead design through ADRs, guide cross-team collaboration, and mentor engineers while contributing to the Vue 3 migration and maintaining a healthy SvelteKit codebase. Remote US candidates encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5+ years scaling production Ruby on Rails applications.
• GraphQL (batch loading, complexity management) experience.
• Relational DB tuning (MySQL/PostgreSQL) for high-traffic, multi-tenant systems.

Responsibilities

• Architectural ownership of systems within the team.
• Drive design through ADRs and cross-team coordination.
• Mentor engineers and set engineering patterns for code quality.
