Job summary

Dexcom Inc. in San Diego seeks a Staff Engineer to lead process design and optimization for the Product Innovation Center. You will shape the Transfer Readiness process between R&D and Operations and map current-state workflows to enable scalable manufacturing of CGM solutions.

The role requires 8–12 years in manufacturing operations and product development, with ISO 13485/CFR familiarity, and strong facilitation and project-management skills. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 8–12 years related experience; master or PhD with relevant experience also acceptable.
• Experience in medical devices and understanding of regulatory standards (ISO 13485, CFR).
• Proven ability to design, map, and optimize business and production processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Process Design & Optimization for San Diego’s Product Innovation Center.
• Design a Transfer Readiness Process to transition from R&D to Operations.
• Analyze current-state processes for how R&D builds are generated, approved, and built.
• Establish KPIs for business processes and monitor performance.
• Lead cross-functional workshops and drive stakeholder alignment.
• Support organizational adoption through training, coaching, and communication.
