Job summary

Dexcom is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the evolution of our product development operating system within the Innovation Center. As a highly influential individual contributor, you will drive enterprise-wide improvements to how products are developed, built, transferred to manufacturing, and commercialized.

You will partner across R&D, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Program Management to establish scalable engineering processes, governance, and best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with extensive experience.
• Advanced degrees preferred for higher responsibility roles.
• Experience applying engineering systems and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve the organization's business processes from product development concept through commercial launch.
• Establish standardized processes, governance, and engineering best practices across the Innovation Center.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce development cycle time while improving product quality and manufacturing readiness.
• Identify systemic inefficiencies and implement scalable process improvements throughout the site.
• Lead initiatives that improve the transition of products from R&D into Operations and high-volume manufacturing.
• Develop standardized design transfer methodologies, deliverables, and readiness assessments.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to improve manufacturability early in product development.
