Job summary

Dexcom Inc. in San Diego is seeking a Sr Process Engineer to lead process improvements for assembly products, ensuring quality, reliability and manufacturability.

You will drive rigorous root-cause analyses, collaborate across R&D, Manufacturing and Quality, and support production scale-up and changes under design controls. Qualifications include a technical Bachelor’s (or higher) and hands-on experience with DMAIC, DOE, SPC and RCA.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 5–8 years of related experience or a Master’s degree with 2–5 years or a PhD with 0–2 years.
• Experience in assembly processes, quality systems, and manufacturing readiness.
• Ability to lead investigations and apply statistical techniques in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvements for assembly products with focus on quality, reliability, manufacturability and cost.
• Drive root-cause investigations and failure analyses using analytical techniques.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Operations Engineering to implement opportunities.
• Support production scale-up, second-source qualification and change control.
• Support New Product Introduction activities with design transfer and scale-up.
• Apply DMAIC, DOE, SPC and RCA; drive process validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Communicate effectively across functions and drive long-term process improvements.
