Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. in Madison, WI seeks a Staff Professional with a background in civil, geotechnical, structural, or water resources engineering to support field and design work.

Under supervision, you will assist with dam, landfill, and site development projects, build data management, and prepare technical reports and proposals for clients and regulators. The role involves field tasks, travel for field assignments, and occasional inspections.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical Eng or related field; MS desirable.
• E.I.T. desirable; ability to pursue registration.
• 0–4 years in civil/geotechnical/structural engineering.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Proficient MS Office; CAD/Civil 3D/Revit desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support field and engineering design and construction efforts.
• Prepare technical reports and proposals for clients/regulators.
• Coordinate geotechnical soil borings and instrumentation.
• Assist in inspections, permitting, and record documents for dams/landfills.
• Travel for field assignments as needed.
