Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced structural engineer to join our dams and water resources consulting practice. You will analyze and design critical structures, oversee engineering designs, and mentor staff. The position requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering and 7 to 15 years of experience in structural engineering.

This role includes hybrid work with an expectation of three days in-office, and the opportunity to work on significant water resource projects across spectacular locations.

Qualifications

• 7 to 15+ years’ experience in structural engineering related to dams and water resources structures.
• Professional Engineer licensure or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel on temporary assignments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as structural lead and project/task manager.
• Oversee designs developed by staff engineers and mentor them.
• Analyze concrete gravity dams, arch dams, buttress dams and similar structures.

Skills

Structural analysis software (SAP2000/STAAD/RISA/ANSYS)

AutoCAD

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education

B.S. in Civil Engineering
