Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of our core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, AI capabilities, and frontend experiences, delivering dashboards, microservices, and integrations.

As a hands-on technical leader, you will guide strategy, mentor teams, champion DevOps, and embed AI-driven features to automate workflows and deliver intelligent insights across the product suite.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering focused on full-stack development and scalable apps.
• Proficient in React, Angular, or Vue with advanced state management and data visualization.
• Strong server-side skills in Node.js, Python, Java, C#, or Go for microservices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ORMs, and data feeds integration.
• Hands-on AI model integration (OpenAI, Anthropic) and AI orchestration (LangChain).
• Public-cloud expertise (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD with IaC.
• Able to communicate architectural decisions to technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of scalable web apps from frontend to backend.
• Architect and implement dashboards and data visualizations surface insights.
• Design secure APIs and integration layers with diverse data sources.
• Champion AI integration to automate workflows and provide insights.
• Drive CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes deployments, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and performance profiling standards.
• Mentor engineers and align technical roadmap with product leadership.
• Handle ambiguity and engage stakeholders to shape requirements.
