Venice.ai seeks a senior engineer to own fraud and abuse detection across the platform. You will build end‑to‑end detection systems, investigate abuse incidents Hands‑on, and collaborate with the payments team to embed fraud controls in the payment flow.

You will tackle credential stuffing, signup abuse, and large‑scale bot activity while maintaining a positive user experience and scalable security posture for a fast‑growing consumer AI platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering and security mindset.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, Rust and Python across projects.
• Self‑directed with ambiguity in building new functions.
• Pragmatic choice of fraud/abuse tooling and good evaluation.
• Strong incident response and hands‑on investigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Build detection systems from scratch using rules engines and anomaly detection.
• Investigate incidents hands‑on and ship fixes, not handoffs.
• Partner with payments to integrate fraud controls into the flow.
• Stop automated abuse like bot scams and token farming.
• Prevent account takeover with detection and friction while preserving signup UX.
• Iterate with data to tune thresholds and reduce false positives.
