MoonPay is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own PayBox end-to-end, driving from problem identification to production in a fast, AI-powered environment. You will join a small, focused team and act as a founding-engineer-style contributor, shaping product experiences and integrations across AI platforms.

You will work closely with the Chief Engineer, balance ambitious technical challenges with pragmatic delivery, and influence onboarding flows and UX to maximize usability and impact.

Responsibilities

• Own significant areas of PayBox end-to-end, from problem identification to production.
• Help take recently launched product through its next phase of 0→1 development and growth.
• Build new payment and peer-to-peer transfer experiences designed for AI interfaces.
• Build integrations across AI platforms, applications and the PayBox ecosystem.
• Develop infrastructure and product experiences to onboard new apps and integrations.
• Collaborate with Product to turn ambitious ideas into simple experiences.
• Sweat the details of onboarding and UX to reduce user friction.
• Reason from first principles on tough technical and product problems.
• Move across product areas to attack high-impact problems.
• Use AI extensively to speed up work while maintaining judgment.
